The working principle of the vacuum rake dryer is as follows:

The dried material is added from the center of the top of the shell. Under the agitation of the continuously rotating rake teeth, the material moves back and forth axially, constantly renewing the surface in contact with the inner wall of the shell. Indirectly heated by steam and evenly agitated by the rake teeth, as well as crushed by the crushing rod, the moisture within the material vaporizes. Under the action of the vacuum system, the internal and surface moisture of the dried material is more effectively discharged. The vaporized moisture passes through a dry dust collector, a wet dust collector, and a condenser, and is vented from the outlet of the vacuum pump.

Characteristics of vacuum rake dryer:

1. The material is dried evenly; oxidation and overheating are avoided; products with extremely low moisture content can be obtained, which can be packaged without crushing.

2. High evaporation intensity, generally capable of evaporating 10-15kg (water) / m2·h

3. Without air intervention, the condenser load is very small, making it convenient to recover material solvents.

4. After being filtered through a bag filter, the solvent vapor entrainment does not cause environmental pollution.

5. Energy consumption: Generally, 1.3-1.5kg of steam is required to evaporate 1kg of water

6. The discharge valve is a ball valve without dead angles inside the cylinder, facilitating easy discharge.

7. The heat medium can be steam, hot oil, or hot water.
