How to adjust the temperature gauge of a disc dryer if it is inaccurate
From:Jiangsu Yutong Drying Engineering Co. Ltd  Updatetime:2026-05-30   Visits :1008

1. Inspection and confirmation

Confirming the thermometer error: First, use an accurate thermometer (such as the Fluke F51-II single-input digital thermometer) to measure the actual temperature inside the disc dryer and compare it with the displayed value on the thermometer on the dryer to confirm whether there is an error.

Check the temperature sensor: The temperature sensor is a crucial component for detecting temperature. If the sensor malfunctions or is damaged, it can lead to inaccurate readings on the thermometer. Inspect the sensor for any signs of looseness, damage, or poor contact.

II. Adjustment and Calibration

Adjust temperature controller:

Open the front cover of the dryer and locate the temperature controller.

Adjust the proportional coefficient, integral time, and derivative time in the temperature controller to make the set value of the temperature controller more closely match the actual temperature inside the dryer. Note that the adjustment range should not be too large to avoid adverse effects on the temperature control of the dryer.

During the adjustment process, pay attention to the displayed value on the thermometer and perform calibration repeatedly until satisfactory accuracy is achieved.

Replacing the temperature sensor: If it is confirmed that the temperature sensor is damaged or beyond repair, a new sensor should be replaced promptly. During the replacement process, ensure to follow the instructions or the guidance of professionals to ensure the sensor is installed correctly and connected reliably.
